I know finding one these days isn't the easiest to do, but yesterday I went to view a movie that not only is family friendly, but it quenched my thirst for comedy.

The Despicable Me film (rated PG) is a story of a super villain named Gru (Steve Carrell) who is trying to find a way to become the greatest antagonist in the world. While trying to top the biggest scandal ever committed by a villain, Gru finds himself adopting three little girls, Agnes (Elsie Fisher), Edith (Dana Gaier), and Margo (Miranda Cosgrove). Will his plans to defeat Vector (the greatest villain of all time) be a success? You'll just have to watch and see for yourself.

This movie is filled with hilarity, family moments, and what it means to love someone with all your heart. So grab your family, take a seat in your local theater and join Gru and his girls on an adventure sure to be a hit with everyone from 1 to 101.

Have you been having trouble finding Strange Days at Blake Holsey High DVD episodes?

I have too, and I searched like forever, but what I did find is that you can get Black Hole High episodes on DVD through Blockbuster.

Now you may be thinking, 'Oh I don't need Blockbuster. I can find these Black Holsey High episodes on my own.' Why would you do that when matters could be made easier by signing up with Blockbuster. And you don't even have to visit a Blockbuster! All you have to do is get on your computer and sign up to be a member online!

A New Series?

Have you read the Percy Jackson Series? (If you haven't, read it now.)

If you're a huge fan like I am, you're in for a surprise.

I've heard rumors about Rick Riordan writing another Greek mythology series based off the Percy Jackson books. As far as I know, the first book is set to come out late this year/early next year, and will not be centered around Percy, Annabeth, and Grover.

Instead, Percy and Annabeth are planned to be counselors at Camp Half-Blood. A new group of demigods (possibly and hopefully well-known younger ones, i.e. Nico di Angelo) will be the main characters of the book. If anyone finds any of this information to be incorrect, please leave it in a comment so I can update it.

Creddie Kiss?!?! No!!!!!!

Recently, I have become a fan of Tiger Beat Magazine (tigerbeatmag.com). When I bought my first issue, I noticed something in dead center of the mag in bold letters: "Creddie Kiss Episode". Apparently, "Freddie gets hurt", so when Carly is comforting him, she finds out her true feelings for him. Now, for you Seddie shippers, this is extremely devastating. I am now actually extremely mad at the script itself, not Dan. But yes. There will be a Creddie. For one, I guess it's only fair to Creddie shippers since Seddie's already had their first kiss. For two, as I've said before, Creddie has to happen before Seddie can. Freddie needs a chance like Creddie to realize who he really cares for. I'm sure we'll all live through it. We can do this. Review of Where the Wild Things Are

If you're thinking of watching a whimsical, children's tale, maybe Where the Wild Things Are is for you. I recommend the movie, but let's see what a professional has to say about it:

Meet Max. He’s a 9-year-old explorer who torments the family dog, digs igloos, commands imaginary foot soldiers and enjoys a good snowball fight. But as inventive as his world is, it’s not perfect. Reality steps in to make sure of that.

His dad is rarely, if ever, part of the picture now. And when Max’s feelings are hurt by his dismissive older sister, Claire, and her rougher teenage friends, his loving-but-harried single mother can’t give her son the attention he craves—and needs.

The sensitive boy’s dark and difficult emotions eventually erupt. Unable to articulate his feelings, Max lashes out at his mother, biting her as she tries to restrain his tantrum. Then he races out of the house—wearing a wolf suit—and flees to a wooded lake. There his imagination fully takes over, sending him on a dangerous overseas journey to a mysterious island Where the Wild Things Are.

In this richly textured, psychologically complex place that loosely mirrors his own world, Max works through his real-life emotions and gradually develops empathy. After all, even brave explorers can feel misunderstood and lonely.

The faraway land is home to seven enormous, mythical and wild creatures: Carol, their short-tempered leader; Douglas, a levelheaded bird; Judith, a bossy, self-proclaimed "downer"; Ira, Judith’s laidback boyfriend; Alexander, a meek goat desperate for respect; the silent Bull; and KW, a sensitive female beast who is considering leaving this emotionally dysfunctional clan. And though they threaten to eat Max at first, his daring subdues the fearsome group. His sense of adventure and optimism even bring them together as a happy family again for a while.

So the Wild Things gladly put a crown on Max’s head and proclaim him king.

But the moody beasts also put their hope in Max’s ability to make them happy. As the boy’s "magic powers" are gradually seen to be false, the clan’s optimism sours. Group dynamics crumble under the weight of petty jealousies, insecurity, aggression and anger—not unlike how things in Max’s real world often seem to go.

Still, Max figures out how to tackle his feelings and show love to his newfound "family." And eventually he does the same in his real world, too.

Based on Maurice Sendak’s 1964 Caldecott Medal-winning book, Where the Wild Things Are, director Spike Jonze and screenwriter/novelist Dave Eggers flesh out the 10-sentence story in a visually beautiful, uniquely poignant and adventurous way.

The plot of the story is, Carly almost gets ran over by a bus, but is rescued by Freddie who, in turn, gets injured himself. Carly nurses him back to health, which makes her realize how much she really cares about him. Creddie fans are sure to love this. Executive producer of SYTYCD, Nigel Lythgoe, and other choreographers such as Carrie Ann Inaba, Adam Shankman, and Katie Holmes formed this foundation. Their purpose is to provide scholarships ($10,000) for talented dancers, to establish national standards for dance education, and to develop, provide, and support dance education groups for the less fortunate. In two weeks, we'll performing on the stage in front of a real audience, our names in lights. Ok, maybe not the names in lights part, but still. Acting plays a very important part of my life. I live to act and act to live. Plus, my friends and I always have great inside jokes afterwards. It really is fun to be in a musical. It lets me escape my own life and step into someone else's shoes. I love to be the evil, nasty one, or the stupid one. It's just fun to pretend to be someone different. If you think you're interested, contact your music director at your school. They will be able to help you find an acting group near you. I really do advise you to give it a chance. I think you will enjoy it.

So, you iCarly fans have probably heard about the upcoming episode, iDate A Bad Boy. Carly starts to date a bad boy, but he has a terrible, horrifying secret, which, sadly, no one knows. Here's what director Dan Schneider had to say about it:

Tomorrow night Saturday, May 9th - there will be a brand new iCarly one-hour special called iDate A Bad Boy.

People often ask me what my favorite episode of iCarly is, and I'm never sure because I have several favorites.

Well, iDate A Bad Boy is absolutely one of my favorite episodes of iCarly ever.

I knew this episode was going to be special when we were filming it. You could "feel" it on the set. Miranda certainly had a GREAT time, because she got to kiss actor Drew Roy like a billion times! I've never seen Miranda so psyched to be on set. ;)

I loved iCarly in season 1, and I think season 2 has gotten even better... and now, I feel that iDate A Bad Boy takes iCarly to new heights.

I recently showed a rough cut of the episode to a high-level agent who said, "This plays like one of the best episodes of Friends," which I took as quite a compliment to our actors.

I feel that iDate A Bad Boy is going to be among the most popular episodes of iCarly in the history of the series.

Monster Makers!

I was watching the Hallmark channel on television the other day, when my sister decided she was going to record one of the movies. Turns out, the name of the movie was Monster Makers. This film is about a boy named Tim who comes to live in old Dexter Brisbane's house. While Tim is in the basement, he finds a never released film from 1951 called Monsters on the Loose. The movie was written and directed by Brisbane years ago, but the movie was banned, because when people went to see it, lightning struck the theater and the monsters came out of the movie and attacked the city. With Tina, his newfound best friend, an officer, who was actually a character from the movie, named Officer Jay Forrest, and, of course, his mom, Tim has to hunt down and destroy the three monsters. Vermin, a rat-like monster, was created at an atomic plant. Manikin, a, well, mannequin, rips peoples' limbs off for his own. And of course, perhaps the most evil of the three, there's Remnant. He's a ghost that can't be seen. He takes over bodies as part of his master plan. You'll know when Remnant's taken over a body, because you'll see these three signs: the victim pops their neck, shrugs their shoulders, then pops their fingers. Good thing Remnant can only take over a body once. Will Tim and the gang rescue the world from the terrorization of Vermin, Manikin, and Remnant? Find out in Monster Makers!

Hey guys! Last week, there was a basketball game that didn't turn out too well. A girl on the opposing team elbowed my friend Sami in the nose. It turned out to be fractured. Then, later that week, she twisted her ankle. Just yesterday, someone hit her in the face with a ball. Her nose started to bleed badly and she had to go to the nurse. My Friends Are Crazies!!!!!!

Last night, my friend Cortney asked me if I could go to the movies. My mom said I could, and she and her sister Raven picked me up. We went to see Hotel for Dogs. There, we also met up with Caitlin, another one of my friends. We really enjoyed the movie, and I actually got to stay the night with Cortney and Raven. We had a great time! We played Uno Flash, got on the computer for awhile, and even sang along to one of our talent show movies. I was sad when we had to go to sleep, but no worries. Today, Cortney, Raven, my cousin Ivy, and my sister Jonah's friend, Emmy came over to stay the night. We had makeovers, watched T.V., and even played a little truth or dare, and I even have to go up to a boy I absolutely hate and tell him I love him on Tuesday at school! (Help if you know me!!!!) Also, Raven and I got this genius idea to play volleyball in the basement. When she went down to hit the ball, she ripped her pants! It was pretty funny! With her best friend, Sam, and their techie friend, Freddie, they created a webshow appropriately called iCarly. Sam and Freddie have to be my two favorite characters on iCarly, because they seemingly hate each other, but deep down inside, really care. December 16 was my b-day and I forgot to post about it so I am now. On the 16, I got to skip school and spend time with my aunts, my grandma, my mom, and my two little cousins, Kash and Cruz. I recieved fifty dollars to spend. My cousins and I had great fun going to all the different stores and looking around. The following Saturday, the 20, me, my mom, my sister Jonah (her website is www.jonahlynleigh.blogspot.com), and my 11 year old cousin Ivy went to a local mall. i recieved one hundred dollars to spend there. We had a great time and made good memories that will last forever. Plus, I got a lot of stuff! Then of course, there's Christmas. I don't know about you, but my favorite holiday is Christmas. Not because of the presents though. I love it so much because it was Jesus' birthday. Happy birthday Jesus!!! Anyway, I got to spend time with both sides of my family. fortunately, everyone got along well. I recieved a bunch of presents and managed to not bring up that Santa wasn't real. The plot of the episode is Freddie says that he's never kissed a girl before, which leads up to a confession from Sam. Also, as far as I've heard, there will be a kiss. So take that Creddie! :0)

My Other Best Friends (Who are Amazing!)

My other best friend is Raven. She plays percussion in Jr. High band along with Daniel (but I personally like Raven's playing better). She loves Spongebob, and she even has an awesome Spongebob shirt. Her sister Cortney is a bit crazy. I can depend on her to keep my secrets. I think we make good friends because we kind of balance each other out. Raven's more on the violent side and I'm more on the calm, cool, and collected side (unless you put caffeine in my system). Overall, Raven's a good person.

Another one of my best friends is Kayla. She plays clarinet and oboe in the Jr. High band (I have many musical friends). She is also in Lab Choir along with me. Times in the chorus room get a bit crazy, and the only one who can calm me down is Kayla. We love to make fun of the songs we have to sing. For instance, we have to sing Jolly Old St. Nicholas when we go caroling. There's a guy in Lab Choir named Nick, so we tease him and ask him if he's jolly all the time. He doesn't like it much though. Kayla and I have a great time together and we're just like family.

My best friend is Britany Hale. She's nice, pretty, and a great friend. We tell each other everything. There's nothing we wouldn't do for each other. She plays the clarinet very well and performs in the Jr. High marching band. Also, she's a great softball player. She and I write songs together, mostly mushy songs for her, more spiritual songs for me. Plus, she just got her braces off! Lucky her! (BTW: I have braces.) Anyway, she's the best and I love her like a sister. She's a great person overall.
